Jesse Lingard has had a busy pre-season since returning from his half-season loan spell at West Ham. Speculation over his future has not gone away and West Ham’s goalkeeper Darren Randolph has issued a come join us plea.

Gary Neville gave his advice over the weekend and made his thoughts very clear that Lingard should return to West Ham, where he was the man after leading the Hammers to Europa League qualification.

Despite David Moyes having made it clear that the midfielder would be welcome back in the capital, West Ham have not made an offer deemed acceptable on United’s part.

However, there were claims on social media yesterday that Lingard is thought to be more open to the idea of moving back to West Ham.

Irons goalkeeper and Republic of Ireland international Randolph posted on his Instagram stories, tagging the United midfielder and suggesting he might see him at training soon.

‘I’ll be seeing you soon at Rush Green for training.

‘You know you want to!’

Not the most cryptic message, though.
