Manchester United legend aims dig at Arsenal after dream start for Brentford

Brentford’s dream start in the Premier League comes at Arsenal’s expense and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t smiling while writing this, especially with a Manchester United legend firing shots.

We’ve seen this from Arsenal before – and Jamie Carragher said it was a typical performance from Mikel Arteta’s side as he commentated on the game for Sky Sports.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank will take the plaudits.

His team, driven with adrenaline, ran themselves into the ground. It’s not the type of performance you’d expect a newly promoted side to display weekly throughout the season, but it is great that Arsenal were on the receiving end of this one.

That is purely down to the fact I despise Arsenal – not because I see them as competitors this season.

Former Manchester United winger Gordon Hill laid into Arsenal at full-time as he wrote on Twitter: “Wow, wow, nothing from Arsenal. The only player to look as if he wants something is Smith Rowe, Brentford on full adrenaline. Would be a great result to start the long road. Arsenal back to the drawing board and it better be a big one.”

Same old Arsenal, eh?
