Leon Bailey says Man Utd fan Usain Bolt will support Aston Villa after £30m transfer

New Aston Villa signing Leon Bailey has insisted that his countryman Usain Bolt will support Aston Villa following his £30m move to the Premier League, as per the Daily Mail.

Bolt is an avid and vocal Manchester United supporter, having been pictured at Old Trafford and with the squad on pre-season tours on several occasions.

Bailey completed his move from Bayer Leverkusen to Aston Villa earlier this week and commented on his relationship with Bolt, insisting that the track star will support Aston Villa now.

“Anywhere I go he (Bolt) is going to be a fan so of course right now, he is a Villa fan,” Bailey told VillaTV, via Daily Mail after being unveiled as their latest signing.

“I have known him for a long time. He is a good friend of mine and an inspiration. I am sure he will want to come and see Villa against Manchester United.”

Bolt has previously been said to have strong relationships with several Jamaican footballers, with Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling also said to be a close friend of the 34-year-old.

With his ties to Manchester United still intact, it seems likely that Bolt will look to be in attendance to watch his friend, Bailey, take on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side when they meet at Old Trafford.
