Jesse Lingard wants Manchester United stay despite interest building around Europe

It sounds like Jesse Lingard has no plans to leave Manchester.

Well, one thing looks certain and it’s that he won’t be a West Ham player next season. Lingard enjoyed the second half of last season on loan at the London Stadium but he plans to stay at Manchester United next season.

That much comes from friend of Stretty News, Jonathan Shrager, who adds that there is interest from clubs in France, Italy and Spain.

However, with such a young child, I can understand Lingard’s reasons for wanting to stay in Manchester.

It is where Lingard has grown up and lived most of his life.

With the help of a fully energised Lingard, West Ham secured European football for this season and will compete in the Europa League as a result. For players like Declan Rice that is a big bonus ahead of the new campaign, though how long is he expected to remain a Hammer?

Rice is a player United like but there has been no movement on that front this summer.
