Saul Niguez hoping to seal Premier League transfer this week, Man Utd favourites

Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez is a man in demand this summer and the player’s representatives are due in England this week as he seeks to complete a move to the Premier League, according to reports.

The 26-year-old is one of the hottest properties in La Liga but has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish champions this summer, with Manchester United touted as a possible destination.

After signing Jadon Sancho for £73m (as per the BBC), and reaching an agreement in principle with Real Madrid for the transfer of Raphael Varane, Manchester United, alongside Liverpool, are now said to be in ‘pole position’ to land Saul this summer.

According to The Mirror, the Spain international hopes to have his future sorted this week as his representatives are due to fly to England tomorrow in order to strike a deal with a club. The publication claims that Manchester United are ‘in the box seat’ but that Liverpool are also keen.

Sources close to Saul are said to have told The Mirror that the player has no desire to have his future up in the air as the La Liga curtain-raiser draws ever closer.
