Liverpool offered the chance to sign Man Utd star Paul Pogba

In quite extraordinary news, a report from France claims that Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer.

The 28-year-old midfielder has just one year remaining on his contract and is being linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain but according to new reports, Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has offered the player to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

That’s according to French outlet Le10 Sport, who say that Raiola has ‘mentioned’ Pogba’s name in discussions with Liverpool. The publication says that the attempt is ‘daring’, considering the rivalry between the Merseyside club and Manchester United.

Le10 Sport claim that Liverpool are in the market for a midfielder and that behind their prime targets, Pogba’s name has been mentioned ‘behind the scenes’.

Raiola is said to have told Liverpool that there is an opportunity to facilitate a transfer this summer, and although an approach this summer is unlikely, a deal in the January window ‘could interest Liverpool’.
