Manchester United announce agreement to sign Real Madrid star

Manchester United have announced that it has reached an agreement in principle to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid. The 28-year-old is the subject of strong interest from the club amid his contract situation but is now set to become the third addition to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.

Varane leaves Real Madrid with four Champions League medals, four Club World Cup titles, three La Liga titles, three Super Cup titles, three UEFA Super Cup titles, and one Copa del Rey title.

Full completion of the move is subject to player terms being finalised and a medical with the former Lens man expected to follow through imminently.

Furthermore, it has been claimed by journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano that more activity in the market is expected from Manchester United this summer, despite already completing two marquee signings.

More incomings could, however, be influenced by the futures of other players with sales possibly needed in order to raise funds.
