Manchester United unwilling to give discounts as they negotiate with Milan over defender

Manchester United are proving to be stubborn over the potential sale of Diogo Dalot with AC Milan seemingly interested. The defender spent last season on loan with the Italian club and is the subject of strong interest from Stefano Pioli’s side.

Dalot enjoyed a good first season in Italian football, featuring often for his side as they returned to the Champions League for the first time in seven years. The young defender made 34 appearances for the Rossoneri and has seemingly impressed enough to attract renewed interest.

According to MilanNews, via Sport Witness, Manchester United are being ‘very intransigent’ in talks with Milan over Dalot, refusing to budge on their valuation and demands with no discounts being handed out.

With progress seemingly not appearing to be made between the two clubs, it’s now claimed that Milan are hoping that Dalot’s will to complete a return to their side will help them in their pursuit.

Dalot is due back at Manchester United next week for pre-season preparations but it remains to be seen if he stays on for another year at Old Trafford.
