Manchester United have opened the scoring in their second pre-season game of the summer against Queens Park Rangers. United made the trip to Loftus Road, having recorded a victory over Wayne Rooney’s Derby last weekend at Pride Park.
After featuring for Manchester United for the first time in seven months last week against Derby, Jesse Lingard started the encounter at Loftus Road and opened the scoring with just three minutes on the clock.
Mason Greenwood found Facundo Pellistri in space who in turn laid off to an onrushing Lingard with only the goalkeeper to beat. The 28-year-old made no mistake from 12 yards and gave United an early lead.

The goal is Jesse Lingard’s first since scoring against LASK in last season’s Europa League, one of the first European games at Old Trafford without a crowd following Project Restart.
