Liverpool winning race to sign Toon teen tracked by Manchester United

Liverpool are said to be winning the race to sign Newcastle United prospect Bobby Clark.

The son of former Magpies midfielder Lee has caught the attention of some of England’s biggest clubs and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Clark, 16, is regarded as one of the best schoolboy prospects at the club after attracting interest from Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, City and Bayern Munich.

However, the Daily Mail believes Liverpool have emerged as frontrunners to sign the England youth international, which may make up for the fact they are already losing a top starlet to rivals United this summer. One of their very own, too.

Clark made his U18 debut for Newcastle in September 2019 at the age of 14, so it only makes sense for all of these top clubs to track his development – and it looks like Liverpool are the first club to signal a real attempt to buy him.

Since becoming manager at United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done a brilliant job signing fresh talent.

It may take a few years to see it but wait until Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri are ready for the Premier League!
