Manchester United left-back offered to Jose Mourinho’s Roma – report

Manchester United left-back Alex Telles has been offered to Jose Mourinho’s Roma by an intermediary, according to reports. The Brazilian full-back joined the club last season but has struggled to convince Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

AS Roma, who announced the appointment of Jose Mourinho earlier this year, have been offered the player through an intermediary according to Calciomercato.

The report argued that Leonardo Spinazzola’s long-term injury could tempt Roma and that Mourinho ‘wouldn’t mind’ Alex Telles making a return to Italy, having previously represented Inter. Furthermore, it is claimed that Roma would only consider a loan, rather than an outright purchase.

Presumably, Telles joined the club last year to take up a first-choice role on the left side of defence but Luke Shaw’s stellar form has limited the 28-year-old to just nine appearances in the league. Eight of those nine appearances were starts, with most coming early in the season when Shaw was injured.
