‘Pushing hard’ – Manchester United ‘in pole position’ to sign Harry Kane

Manchester United are in pole position to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to reports. The 27-year-old made headlines towards the end of last season after it was revealed that he wanted to leave his club, prompting interest from both Manchester clubs.

Manchester City have been heavily linked with the player, with some reports even claiming that a bid has been made and rejected. But according to Football Insider, it’s Manchester United who are in pole position to land the Spurs ace.

The publication claims that the club is ‘pushing hard’ to sign Kane this summer and that they are willing to spend big on the Premier League golden boot winner.

Furthermore, it is claimed that Manchester United have been given encouragement following recent discussions and are now said to be thinking a deal can be completed this summer. Tottenham reportedly want £100m for Kane, as well as two players going in the other direction.
