Fabrizio Romano thinks Man Utd will make official bid for Eduardo Camavinga

Rumours over the futures of Raphael Varane and Eduardo Camavinga are dominating the headlines at the moments amid interest from Manchester United. Both players have just one year remaining on their contracts and could leave their clubs this summer.

Perhaps a surprise target this summer, Camavinga has emerged as a midfield reinforcement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The 18-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid in the past but according to reports, Manchester United are now ‘really serious’ about signing him.

That’s according to journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who spoke to Don Robbie YouTube channel about the teenager’s future, as seen below.

Romano says that Manchester United, for the last five or six days, have been ‘really serious’ about a deal for Camavinga. Talks have been opened with Rennes in a bid to understand their valuation, with €30-35m suggested as a possible fee.

It is also claimed that Camavinga will not extend his contract at Rennes and that the Old Trafford club is keen to get a deal done this summer, with more competition expected when he’s a free agent in 12 months.

Romano also stated his belief that an official offer will be made for the player. “Let’s see in the coming days if an official bid will be made, but I think yes, because they are really serious on this point,” he said.
