Manchester United star set to be axed after Jadon Sancho arrival, Tottenham interested

The news that Manchester United were close to agreeing a deal for the transfer of Jadon Sancho took social media by storm on Friday. The transfer saga, which looked like it would never end at one point, has irritated supporters for over 12 months.

But with a positive ending looking likely, it’s now reported that Anthony Martial will be the ‘major casualty’ over a deal as doubts over his future at the club arise.

Martial struggled in the 2020/21 season despite finishing the season before as the club’s top scorer and the imminent arrival of Jadon Sancho could put his place in jeopardy.

That’s according to The Mirror, who say that Martial is expected to be sold this summer to make way for Sancho. The publication also claims that Tottenham, who United beat to the Frenchman’s signature in 2015, are interested in the player.

The former Monaco striker had his season cut short after suffering a knee injury on international duty, which also ruled him out of this summer’s European Championships.

  1. Hmmm unless Martial wants to leave this does not make sense. Martial is a forward (centre/left) while Sancho is a right sided player. With Cavani unlikely to play every game and Greenwood still developing surely it would be better to keep Martial and see how he fares from the supply from Sancho? Of course maybe Martial wants to go or is this the new style of “Significant investment” in the squad promised by the Glazers.

    1. my friend, martial is totally out of interest in playing with his heart for united, so he should beat it.

      1. Marshall has done all he can for United so he should go and still utd must buy a world class striker as it seems cavani can not

  2. We Need Jadon Sancho to add 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
we hope to win primier leangu next to season 🔥🔥

  3. I think martial is still useful as substitute
    So we should keep him
