After this morning’s leak we told you there was no reason for panic, and now it sounds like Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils have tracked Sancho for years but hoped to seal a deal for the winger last year, but never managed to place an official bid due to an understanding that they were not going to meet Dortmund’s asking price.
We were not one bit surprised to see United reignite their interest in Sancho at the end of last season, after the winger finished his campaign in Germany with 16 goals and 20 assists.
Reports suggest United have already had a bid worth around £67 million rejected, despite having already agreed personal terms with the player.
BILD now report that the two clubs are nearing an agreement after United tabled a fresh bid of £77m for the 21-year-old.
The article states that “an agreement is very likely in the next few days” so, we’ll be on stand-by for alerts throughout the week and beyond if necessary.
Former Premier League star turned reporter, Jan Aage Fjortoft, claims Dortmund are confident that funding is in place for Sancho to complete his move to Old Trafford.
Feel like I have been talking about this transfer for 100 years. Never thought it would happen last summer. Was another mood this time around. And the second offer today has made everyone very optimistic https://t.co/sTSrbtTe7P

Hopefully this is the end of what has been an extremely long transfer saga.
