Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United will be up in the air unless he puts a pen to the dotted line. He is entering the final year in his contract, and reports suggest he could be used as a makeweight in a deal with Real Madrid.
But the latest this morning is Real Madrid are reportedly set to reject an offer from United for Raphael Varane that will include a swap for Pogba, as per AS, but the Mirror claims it was rejected.
Varane is a top target this summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer clearly planning to provide Harry Maguire with a world-class partner at the back.
United are hoping they can strike up a deal worth less than what they would usually have to pay for a player like Varane, since he’s got just one year left to run on his contract.
For too long we’ve stuck with Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly, who are both below par in terms of where we want to take our football team.
The board must invest if they want Solskjaer to make anything of next season and it’s such a good opportunity.
