New Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen to keep Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira for another season.

That is according to La Lazio Siamo Noi, as cited by the MEN, with claims Sarri wants to test Pereira in pre-season. He obviously sees potential in the Brazilian midfielder, which is something previous managers have been unable to unlock at Old Trafford.

Until now there were no signs of Pereira staying at Lazio, but it looks like he may have a route out of United after all, which was the aim when we sent him to Italy.

Pereira had two other spells on loan as a younger player when he was sent to Spain to play for Granada and Valencia. Unfortunately, he was never able to kick on and earn a place at United.

Even as a squad player, we need to be moving the likes of Pereira on.
