Manchester United star set to be axed, Solskjaer ‘tired’ of star’s attitude

Manchester United star Anthony Martial is set to be axed this summer should the club decide to pursue a striker, according to reports. The Frenchman scored just four goals in the league last season and ended the season with disappointing form, before being ruled out of the last two months with a knee injury.

Martial, 25, has often been a frustrating figure at the club since he joined from Monaco in 2015 but has remained a favourite among many supporters.

The France international has fallen behind Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood in the pecking order at club level and could now be set to be sacrificed, according to reports.

That’s according to Duncan Castles of the Transfer Window Podcast, who claims that the forward has left Solskjaer ‘tired’ with his demeanor, sparking a wish from the United boss to let him go.

“Anthony Martial is to be sacrificed should they get this new forward in,” Castles said. “Solskjaer is tired of his attitude and hasn’t been impressed with his goal production and general knitting into the team this season.”

It remains to be seen whether the club decide to break the bank for their top striker targets, but it seems like Martial is in danged should they decide to.
