Hannibal Mejbri made the controversial choice of choosing Tunisia over France earlier this month and he has already become a fan favourite in the nation. The Tunisian football federation held a spectacular reveal ceremony for him as he rejected France to represent them.
Poised to make his senior debut imminently, Mejbri has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top since joining Manchester United from Monaco in 2018. The teenager has had disciplinary issues on the pitch with the youth sides but was trusted by Ole Gunnar Solskjær to make his debut last season.
Mejbri played the final 12 minutes of United’s 2-1 win over Wolves and is expected to be involved in the first-team next season too.

The young fan approached Mejbri in training and gifted him flowers, presumably a thankful gesture after the promising midfielder committed his future to the African side.
Mejbri posed for a picture and has looked calm, composed and comfortable in recent months despite being in the spotlight more than ever. Juvenile moments on the pitch might have to be forced out of him but the 18-year-old is a mature figure off it.
