Manchester United prioritising Sancho over Kane, with long-term plan to find striker

Manchester United have reportedly decided their preference over a transfer move for Jadon Sancho or Harry Kane as we approach the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils could do with some additions in attack after a pretty frustrating season that saw enough progress to move on with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the board needs to back the manager this summer in acquiring the right players to take us to the next level.

United ultimately came up short in Europe – Champions League and Europa League – and the Premier League after finishing second behind Man City. It’s time to pull out all the stops in order to challenge for the title again.

However, it seems like United are now making some long-term plans to bolster the side, and will prioritise a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho over Tottenham striker Harry Kane, as per the Daily Mail.

The report suggests United are unlikely to pay the money needed to prize Kane away from Spurs, with plans to move for Erling Haaland when his time to leave Dortmund comes.

So, a year to prove the Norwegian we can compete at the top? I’m sure signing Sancho would help us persuade him down the line, but next season we need to see real progress too.
