Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot unsure over future after AC Milan loan expires

Diogo Dalot spent the season on loan at AC Milan and has been linked with a permanent move away from Manchester United.

Although I believe United need back-up for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and in the shape of a more attack-minded full-back than the Crystal Palace academy graduate, but Dalot is not of the required standard to be playing for the Red Devils.

This season Dalot made 33 appearances for AC Milan as they qualified for the Champions League for the first time in seven years. He gained plenty of experience but with two years remaining on his United deal his future is very much up in the air.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by the MEN, Dalot said: “I like to become more and more complete. The Italians love football – they always talk about it – and being part of this culture has been a fantastic experience. And on the pitch, I feel I have improved a lot tactically.

“It was a real pleasure to play for Milan, but now I think about the Euros and I really don’t know what will happen.”

Dalot missed out on a place in the Portugal squad for the European Championship – and I’m not sure anyone expected him to earn a place.

Maybe he can come back and surprise us all?

Let us know in the comments section if you think United should keep or sell Dalot this summer.
