Sunday afternoon has brought with it some shocking scenes – hundreds and thousands of fans have formed outside of Old Trafford where this afternoon’s Premier League match against Liverpool is scheduled to be played, to protest against the club’s owners; the Glazer family.

What started as a large protest outside of the club’s ground quickly turned into something more worrying.

Large pockets of fans seemingly broke into the ground and stormed the Old Trafford pitch where they could be heard chanting and directly their dismay at Sky Sports’ punditry crew.

Still, with some uncertainty over whether or not Sunday afternoon’s match will be allowed to go ahead, the Red Devils’ team hotel, The Lowry, is currently surrounded by police where players and team staff members remain inside.
