Manchester United and Leeds are goalless at half-time at Elland Road and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have failed to create many true openings.
United have not tested Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier anywhere near enough in West Yorkshire but finally threatened just before the pause.
Marcus Rashford connected brilliantly with a free-kick that had to be watched closely by Meslier who reacted well to tip over the crossbar.
Rashford has scored from even further out from a dead ball situation against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup in 2019, and this effort came close to being just as impressive.
Solskjaer may have to utilise the likes of Paul Pogba and Edinson Cavani from the bench for a second-half breakthrough.
