Premier League: Leeds United vs Manchester United – match preview

Manchester United will be looking to make it six wins on the bounce when they take on Leeds United at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds go into the game on the back of a 3-1 victory over Burnley at Old Trafford, whilst the hosts drew 1-1 with Liverpool on Monday night.

Dean Henderson is expected to keep his place in between the sticks to face Leeds, with Marcus Rashford also expected to feature against the Yorkshire side despite suffering a knock against the Clarets.

It has been an eventful week for Manchester United.

News emerging of a European Super League had dampened the mood amongst the reds faithful, but despite that disappointment off the field on the field United have turned a corner in recent weeks and should the reds beat Leeds on Sunday it would all but secure Champions League football for next season.

It wont be easy. Leeds have been fantastic this season under head coach Marcelo Bielsa and have proved to be more than a match for anyone.

If United are to leave Elland Road with all three points, the reds will have to be at their very best. Our away form this season has been particularly impressive and it will take a similar type of performance we’ve seen against the likes of Tottenham and AC Milan earlier in the season to get a result.

One major flaw in Leeds game is their defence. For how well they are going forward, they always leave space at the back and with Rashford, Fernandes and co all likely to start Solskjaer will no doubt look to exploit that on Sunday.

As the end of the season draws near, United have a fantastic opportunity to end the season on a high. Up the Reds!
