Manchester United issue statement after European Super League exit

A quick u-turn as Manchester United pull out of the European Super League.

Stretty News broke the news first hours ago, that United would not be taking part in the new European Super League after a stunning backlash from football fans and people within the game.

United are not alone – all of the clubs seem to be dropping out but don’t tell us they didn’t expect this reaction. Well, maybe they didn’t seen as they’re all so out of touch.

A statement from Manchester United reads: “Manchester United will not be participating in the European Super League.

“We have listened carefully to the reaction from our fans, the UK government and other key stakeholders.

“We remain committed to working with others across the football community to come up with sustainable solutions to the long-term challenges facing the game.”

The tested us at the wrong time but United fans and ex-players must continue to put pressure on the owners.

We know we’ll do our part!
