Manchester United squad v Granada includes Rashford ahead of milestone appearance

Marcus Rashford is in tonight’s squad to face Granada.

Manchester United are hoping to confirm their place in the Europa League semi-finals after winning the first leg 2-0 away from home.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has several absentees going into the game, such as Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay ruled out due to suspension, and Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly simply being unavailable.

Rashford was a doubt as he missed training on Wednesday due to a foot problem. It’s at that stage of the season where players who have played lots of football and beginning to pick up more knocks and niggles, so hopefully he can escape further injury tonight.

I don’t think fans should worry too much about players being overplayed. That’s down to the manager and his medical staff, and I trust their judgement more than some bloke with a Twitter account.

If Rashford plays tonight, it will be his 50th club appearance in UEFA cup competition which is a brilliant achievement for the 23-year-old.

Thankfully, pictures courtesy of the Manchester Evening News show Rashford arriving with the squad at the Lowry Hotel.

Also, with United short on numbers in defence for the tie, Wish Fish is part of the squad and could make his first-team debut against the La Liga side.

The 18-year-old is expected to be a substitute while Axel Tuaznebe gets his chance to start alongside Victor Lindelof.
