Man Utd given green light to sign midfielder tipped as “best young player in the world”

Eduardo Camavinga has just one year remaining on his contract with Rennes and the Ligue 1 side could decide to cash in on the midfielder this summer.

The French youngster, 18, has been on United’s radar ever since he burst onto the scene at Rennes, as per The Sun.

Real Madrid are another top European club that has been constantly linked with Camavinga and we’re sure the idea of linking up with Zinedine Zidane would appeal to the youngster.

However, things are not going to plan at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are six points adrift of La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid and are out of the Copa del Rey. Will the board be so forgiven to the manager after all he’s done in Europe down the years?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they axed Zidane if he doesn’t lead them to another Champions League triumph – and the squad needs a lot of work.

Camavinga’s agent Jonathan Barnett has given clubs the green light to make offers in the summer window.

“It is going to be harder. I’m expecting three or four very big deals of my own that will break a lot of records,” Barnett told The Athletic.

“Hopefully, they’ll come about. For the smaller clubs, I think there won’t be as many transfers. We have some very good players.

“We have probably the best young player in the world in Camavinga. We’ve got Grealish. We’ve got Konate at Leipzig. But then I’ve got over 100 players.”

Barnett is expecting a busy summer ahead, even if it means the smaller teams are bound to be quiet. The pandemic is still very much a thing and I don’t expect United to break many records this summer.
