Manchester United play host against AC Milan in the Europa League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named a starting eleven he thinks will have enough to get over the line tonight. The tie will be played over two legs and both teams have a number of injuries going into this game.
We hope to avoid more injuries tonight but getting into the next round is the ultimate objective. Solskjaer needs to win a trophy and this is one of two ways he can win silverware this season.
AC Milan have injuries of their own but have done very well in Serie A this season. They are without Zlatan Ibrahimovic – possibly for both legs – and that’s a huge boost for Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly.
Dean Henderson starts in goal with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Alex Tellex occupying the full-back positions.
In midfield, Nemanja Matic is partnered by Scott McTominay and both will be tasked with keeping Milan at bay. Bruno Fernandes’ job will be to pull the strings from the middle.
Daniel James gets another deserved start along with Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.
AC Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Tomori, Kjaer, Dalot; Meite, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Krunic; Leao.
Bench: A. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu, Gabbia, Kalulu, Castillejo, Tonali, Tonin.
