“Absolutely incredible”: Solskjaer makes revelation about Luke Shaw after solo goal vs Man City

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Luke Shaw was a ‘massive doubt’ right up until the warm up in Manchester United’s derby victory over Manchester City.

Shaw scored a superb solo goal and was a contender for man of the match as United ended City’s 21 game winning streak with their third consecutive Etihad win.

Bruno Fernandes gave United the perfect start inside two minutes as he fired home a penalty and Shaw ensured the victory five minutes after the break.

Shaw has been one of United’s most consistent performers this season and was accomplished in all areas against City.

But Solskjaer said in his post-match press conference that the warm up was treated as late fitness test with Alex Telles ready to come in if Shaw was deemed unavailable.

The United boss added that Shaw’s performance was ‘top’ and was pleased with aggression in defence as well as his ‘unstoppable’ runs going forward.

Shaw’s strike will be one of the highlights of his career and he has now doubt played his way into Gareth Southgate’s England plans for this summer’s European Championships.

  1. Luke Shaw has proved his doubters wrong( inc me ) he has added more to his game than a lot more of UTDs players, his runs and crosses have been good this season and hes gone from strength to strength, his contribution today was the polar opposite to the hapless FRED who spent all game on his Arse or passing to a blue,THE CITY IS OURS ! Again !
