Manchester United have ended Manchester City’s 21-game winning run with a stunning 2-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw netted to make it three consecutive victories at the Etihad as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bettered Pep Guardiola’s side once again.

The victory prompted joyous scenes at full-time as United moved back to second in the Premier League table.

Shaw was arguably man-of-the-match and shared a warm embrace with captain Harry Maguire who was also superb marshalling the defence.

The Reds were huge underdogs and have been constantly maligned for their record against the ‘Big Six’ teams but delivered a Manchester derby performance to remember for many years.
