Reports in Italy suggest Man United and Inter Milan weighing-up swap deal

According to recent reports in Italy, Manchester United and Inter Milan are considering negotiating a swap deal which would include left-back Alex Telles and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

Inter Live claim the Serie A leaders are likely to prioritise the left-back position in the summer and could turn their attentions to United’s Telles.

Telles, 28, only arrived at United last summer after making a £13.5m switch from FC Porto.

Despite arriving with the expectation to become the Red Devils’ new attacking full-back, Telles’ arrival has had a remarkable effect on regular Luke Shaw.

The English defender has stepped up his efforts to retain his space in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team plans and had it not have been for Bruno Fernandes’ outstanding numbers, would arguably be in line to be named his side’sPlayer of the Season’.

Shaw’s resurgence in form has resigned Telles to just six Premier League starts and reports in Italy suggest the Brazilian could even be moved on next summer.

It has been claimed that the Nerazzurri and United could open talks which would see Brozovic move the other way.

The Red Devils’ hierarchy reportedly values Telles at around £17.4m and would be prepared to spend an additional £26m to bring in Brozovic.
