Video: Jesse Lingard goal for West Ham v Spurs stands after VAR check

Jesse Lingard now has three assists and one goal in four games for West Ham. This one rightly stood with a bit of help from VAR.

The Manchester United midfielder on loan at West Ham appears to have rediscovered his confidence since reuniting with David Moyes in London.

Lingard doubled West Ham’s lead at the London Stadium shortly after the second half began. The goal was checked by VAR and it stood after the offside claim was dismissed.

And if the Hammers win today they could find themselves in a fight for the top European places.

Brazilian forward Lucas Moura has since pulled one back with a header from Gareth Bale’s corner, after the Welshman was brought on at half-time to try and swing the game in Tottenham’s favour.
