We haven’t performed well and, on top of that, our tempo has been way too slow. Newcastle are a side United should be beating comfortably but we’ve been too lackluster in our approach since kick-off.
Bruno Fernandes will be credited for assisting James’ goal after getting a touch on the low cross. It is the Welshman’s second goal this week after scoring the fourth against Real Sociedad in United’s 4-0 win on Thursday night.
I’m sure they will joke about whether it would have slipped through to James had Fernandes not touched the ball.
