Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was the star-man once again as the Red Devils brushed aside Real Sociedad 4-0, during Thursday’s Europa League match.
The world-class playmaker put in another Man of the Match performance after a brilliant brace helped set the tone for the evening.
The Portuguese superstar has now scored 31 goals and assisted a further 20 in just 57 appearances, so far this season, in all competitions.
Speaking after the Red Devils’ demolition job over their Spanish opponents, Fernandes, when asked what his goalscoring target is for the remainder of the campaign gave a brilliant answer.
“No, my target is scoring the most goals I can and obviously trying to assist my team-mates to score too,” the 26-year-old said. “I think the position I play is to do that, to assist, to score when you can, and the most important [thing] for me, my target is the trophies.
“To win trophies will be more important than scoring goals.”
