Borussia Dortmund slash Jadon Sancho’s price-tag amid Man United interest

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have reportedly slashed their asking price from £100m to £88m for winger and Manchester United target Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, 20, joined Dortmund after opting to depart Manchester City’s youth academy.

The young English attacker enjoyed a superb breakthrough campaign last time out during a season which saw him contribute to 40 goals in just 44 appearances.

The 20-year-old’s impressive form saw him emerge as a number-one transfer target for United.

However, despite a summer of relentless links and negotiations, a deal, which was rumoured to be worth over £100m failed to be agreed, leaving the young attacker in Germany, as per Sky Sports.

In light of Sancho’s proposed move to Old Trafford falling through, Sancho’s form at the start of the 2020-21 season looked to be suffering.

However, after a recent upturn in performances, the tricky winger is still displaying very decent figures, including eight goals and 13 assists in 25 matches, in all competitions.

According to a recent live report from SportBILD (via MEN), the Black and Yellows are willing to trim Sancho’s huge price-tag by £20m.

It has been claimed that amid financial concerns, Dortmund are now willing to accept offers within the £88m region.

Whether or not United will reignite their interest in Sancho this summer remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, expect the rumours to continue.
