Rio Ferdinand makes prediction about Pogba’s Manchester United future

Rio Ferdinand thinks Paul Pogba could stay at Manchester United — but only if we manage to sustain a serious Premier League title challenge.

While I totally agree with Ferdinand that Pogba could be persuaded to stay at United, I don’t think everything should come down to this season because we’ll be better again when the next campaign begins.

Especially if this squad gets a taste for competing for the Premier League title. Losing that can be a hard to take, and it’s not something players want to experience throughout the career. And at United the players want to be winning league titles every season!

Anyhow, Ferdinand thinks Pogba’s head can be turned but we reckon Mino Raiola has already made his mind up about the future. The Frenchman could be playing his football in Turin or Madrid next season.

“Whenever I’ve spoken to Paul Pogba, he’s happiest when he is playing football on a regular basis,” Ferdinand told Five. “When he is playing good football and winning, he is a happy person. Man United right now must be a happy place for him to be.

“For him to leave and go somewhere else if they win the league as well, I think it’ll be very difficult.

“It’ll be very difficult for him to walk from something he was very committed to when he walked through the door, he wanted to win things here.”

Ferdinand is joined on his YouTube channel above by Stephen Howson, Fabrizio Romano and Joel Beya to run through the latest football news like Frank Lampard being sacked at Chelsea.
