(Video) Solskjaer hails ‘ultimate pro’ Lingard but admits midfielder’s future hangs in the balance

Speaking after his side’s brilliant 3-2 FA Cup win over arch-rivals Liverpool, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was quizzed on what could be in store for out-of-favour midfielder Jesse Lingard.

Lingard, 28, has only managed to feature in three matches in all competitions this season.

With the likes of Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes all miles ahead of him in the pecking order, the midfielder’s future continues to be speculated.

Speaking after Sunday’s crucial cup win over Liverpool, Solskjaer has addressed the 28-year-old’s Old Trafford future, admitting he will be ‘sitting down’ with the Englishman to discuss his stagnating career.
