Facundo Pellistri’s agent breaks silence on loan links

Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri has been linked with a loan move away from Old Trafford.

Pellistri, 19, joined United during last summer’s transfer window after opting to depart Uruguay side CA Penarol.

Since joining the Red Devils, the talented attacker has been continuing his impressive development with the squad’s under-23s.

After decent performances have included three goals and one assist in his first eight appearances, there have been recent suggestions the youngster could be set for a loan move.

It is extremely unlikely United fans will see Pellistri turn out for the senior first-team this season due to Amad Diallo’s recent arrival.

In addition to Diallo’s arrival, it’s safe to say first-team star Mason Greenwood is also considerably higher in the pecking order than Pellistri, despite being an out and out striker.

As the club’s hierarchy assess the best way to aid the South American’s development, United focused journalist Jonathan Shrager recently claimed Pellistri is close to joining a La Liga side.

Speaking to Todo Fichajes, when questioned on the links, the youngster’s representative said: “We are working on that, surely Spain is the destination.”
