Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave his verdict on Fred’s sending off at full-time.
The manager also thinks with more clinical finishing Manchester United would have won against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Norwegian thinks the Ligue 1 champions were there for the taking and puts the result down the fine margins, like Harry Maguire said in his post-match interview.
Solskjaer says Fred was “a bit lucky” not to be sent off in the second half because you should never swing your head at an opponent. He admits that he considered taking him off at half-time and that has us thinking he probably regrets not doing so as Fred was sent off for a second yellow card in the second half.
“Maybe I should have taken Fred off, but he’s been playing really well,” Solskjaer told BT Sport after the match.
He seemed quite pleased with his team’s performance except for the fact they didn’t take their chances.
