Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named a Manchester United XI full of attacking quality for tonight’s Champions League fixture against Paris Saint-Germain.
United secure qualification for the knockout stages if they avoid defeat against Thomas Tuchel’s French champions at Old Trafford.
And many expected Solskjaer to revert back to his five-at-the-back system that has been so effective in nullifying the opposition threat in back-to-back victories at the Parc de Princes.
But the Norwegian has surprised some by naming an adventurous line-up that includes Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani.
Martial has recovered from illness to return the starting team, and will likely cut in from the left-flank supporting Sunday’s match-winner Cavani and Rashford in a potent front three.
Indispensable Fernandes will be protected by a double midfield pivot of Scott McTominay and Fred.
Meanwhile, there is continuity again in defence with Solskjaer selecting same back four and goalkeeper that won at Southampton.
Donny van de Beek is unfortunate not to retain his place but he makes up a strong bench alongside the likes of Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood.

OGS going strong up front. Knows PSG can punish if MU try to contain them/play for a draw. Good. He’s been watching PSG very closely and knows Tuchel has been onto his players and demanding a lot more. Looking forward to this one. Bring on United.

No back three from #mufc and a very attack-minded team. Van de Beek unfortunate to miss out but it's an imposing side and the midfield had to be McTominay and Fred.

🚨 TEAM NEWS 🚨
A really strong lineup from Ole with Martial, Cavani and Rashford all starting. Could be a really dynamic front 3. Would love Cavani to bag again tonight 💪
Could effectively confirm our route to the knockouts with another win, can we do it Reds? 🤔 #MUFC pic.twitter.com/TCBImJ7z77

Perfect team – the right balance. Fred and Scott always do well together in the middle and will protect the back four allowing the front four to play freely. No need to start VdB or Pogba, we have enough creative players to make the difference in the that 11

Ole is going in for blood🀄.. best lineup I have seen 🔥🔥🔥❤❤ Fred and McSauce as the engine and Best attack with Bruno as player maker… Telles whipping balls across and AWB impenetrable .. Maguire and Lindelof formidable 🔥🔥

The fact that greenwood, pogba and VDB can come on anytime and change the match is even more exciting than the lineup itself

Probably our most potent lineup.
