Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has been speaking about team-mate Edinson Cavani ahead of his side’s crucial Champions League clash against Paris-Saint Germain on Wednesday night.
Van de Beek, 23, will head into tomorrow evening’s important match hoping his impressive full Premier League debut last weekend will be enough to earn him his second start in three days.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s exciting clash, van de Beek was asked how playing alongside new striker Cavani helps the 23-year-old’s own game.
Cavani was instrumental in United’s recent 3-2 comeback against Southampton after coming on at the break before setting Bruno Fernandes up and going on to bag a brace of headers himself.
“I think it’s really important because especially for me, if you come in the box it gives you some extra space,” van de Beek explained. “The defenders always look extra to the striker so it gives you extra space for the midfielders.”
