Bruno Fernandes nominated for UEFA Team of the Year 2020

UEFA have announced the list of nominees for their Team of the Year for 2020 and it includes just one Manchester United player. No surprises for guessing who…

Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United from Sporting in 2020 and instantly became a hit at Old Trafford.

From turning our season around and helping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finish third in his first season in charge to becoming a leader in the dressing room, Fernandes has been a sensation and it doesn’t surprise us that he is up for such an accolade.

Champions League winners Bayern Munich dominate with 10 nominees, while Liverpool are also heavily featured with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi once again nominated.

Former United midfielder Ronaldo has been shortlisted for the 17th year in a row.

Fans are invited to select their line-up from 50 players across the continent — via uefa.com — who have stood out across European competitions and domestic leagues before January 6.

Other Premier League stars to make the cut include: Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne, Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva.

Best of luck to Fernandes – make sure to include him in your Team of the Year for 2020!
