Manchester United host Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
The Reds managed to grind out a hard-fought 1-0 win over West Brom in the Premier League over the weekend, but this Istanbul side has already beaten United this season so we are still expecting a response on the night.
I reckon Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will stick with his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation and might make a few changes to his line-up.
I suspect Dean Henderson will get the nod on the night. There has been a lot of talk about his future and a potential loan move in January (via ESPN). It’s nights like these he will gain most experience because he already proved last season he has what it takes to make it in the Premier League. Victor Lindelof could be rested to allow Axel Tuanzebe come in and get more minutes under his belt.
The full-back positions will be occupied by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Alex Telles.
In midfield, Scott McTominay and Fred will anchor the Manchester United midfield. The gifted trio of Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek should be tasked with creating opportunities for the frontman, Edinson Cavani.
I purposely left out Rashford because he didn’t look fully fit against West Brom after nursing a shoulder injury.
