Confirmed Manchester United line-up vs RB Leipzig – Van de Beek starts

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his Manchester United team to face RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League and we’re delighted to see Donny van de Beek start.

The Red Devils are looking to make it two wins from two in the Champions League after beating last season’s finalists Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 away from home.

RB Leipzig are looking for a second win on the bounce in the competition — to add to their unbeaten start to the season, positioned top of the Bundesliga, which has consistent of high-flying form.

United will have their work cut out for them against Leipzig but hopefully Solskjaer has done his job by naming the right team.

The Norwegian has gone with the following, as per @ManUtd: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Matic, Fred, Pogba, Van de Beek; Greenwood, Martial.

His direct opponent tonight, Julian Nagelsmann, is one of the best up and coming coaches from Germany. An astute coach in charge of a versatile bunch of players.

The prospect of facing the best managers in Europe is always an exciting one and I hope we are not far away from a time that Solskjaer will be considered one too. He is prone to more criticism than other managers because he’s in charge of Manchester United. I find it encouraging that he has never shied away from his responsibilities and continues to always put the team first.
