In the 30th minute of tonight’s encounter between Manchester United and Newcastle, David de Gea really put his body on the line to deny us conceding against the Magpies.
Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin picked up the ball and created space away from Aaron Wan-Bissaka far too easily before firing a shot on goal.
De Gea dove across to his near post to bat away the effort, taking a massive hit on his left arm in the process. The Spaniard needed treatment for a little while before play continued.

Dave has been poor over the last couple of seasons and perhaps could’ve done better for the first goal, but we’ve got to pay him dues for this.
Defensively we still look lax and we can’t afford to be taking this kind of laid back approach when a player like Saint-Maximin can pull something out the bag.
