Manchester United are currently preparing to face-off against Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United in tonight’s hotly anticipated Premier League fixture.
The Reds come into tonight’s game with all the pressure on their young shoulders after a shocking start to the new 2020-21 campaign has seen them lose two of their opening three domestic matches.
In light of United’s abysmal form, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to face a barrage of speculation suggesting his employers could be looking to replace him with former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, as per Independent.
Ahead of tonight’s important match, both side’s have announced their starting line-ups and pockets of United fans have been quick to express their discontent with one exclusion in particular.
Solskjaer has opted to stick with club captain Harry Maguire despite the English defender currently enduring a wretched patch of form.
United’s captain who was last in action for his country England during the international break and after being named in Gareth Southgate’s line-up to face Denmark in the Nations League during the week, it took just half an hour for Maguire to be shown a red card.
However, new-signing Donny van de Beek misses out, yet again as he finds himself resigned to the bench.

In light of van de Beek’s exclusion tonight, fans have taken to social media to give their thoughts with one fan deeming Solskjaer’s selection decision as ‘unacceptable’.
Did Ole Gunnar Solskjær actually want Donny van de Beek? The majority of our team is out of form, we just got humiliated 6-1 to Spurs and you STILL can’t find a place for him in the starting lineup? Unacceptable.

What does Donny van de Beek have to do to start a match?

Signing Donny van de Beek was pretty much pointless then….

Ole dropped Paul Pogba for his performances but started Harry Maguire, he started Juan Mata in 2020 over Donny Van De Beek where is the consistency in his man management?

So far, Donny van de Beek is looking like Fred – a signing made by the club rather than the manager. Nothing so far to suggest otherwise. Outrageous he doesn’t start today, especially with Paul Pogba out injured. Baffling.

Man drops Bailly, starts Maguire.
Man doesn’t start Donny or Pogba and starts McTominay and Fred.
Man starts Daniel James and Mata on the wings.Greenwood dropped from the entire squad after his quotes about practicing finishing and getting the job done.
I’m speechless.

Paul Pogba had to be dropped on form tonight and Donny van de Beek seemed the only logical replacement. Fred fresh after having international break off, but will be little sympathy for Solskjaer if he fails to win while leaving new summer signing on bench again #mufc

Also, that Donny van de Beek is still not getting a start is nothing but a disgrace!
