Pockets of Man United fans react to ‘unacceptable’ exclusion ahead of tonight’s game against Newcastle United

Manchester United are currently preparing to face-off against Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United in tonight’s hotly anticipated Premier League fixture.

The Reds come into tonight’s game with all the pressure on their young shoulders after a shocking start to the new 2020-21 campaign has seen them lose two of their opening three domestic matches.

In light of United’s abysmal form, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to face a barrage of speculation suggesting his employers could be looking to replace him with former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, as per Independent.

Ahead of tonight’s important match, both side’s have announced their starting line-ups and pockets of United fans have been quick to express their discontent with one exclusion in particular.

Solskjaer has opted to stick with club captain Harry Maguire despite the English defender currently enduring a wretched patch of form.

United’s captain who was last in action for his country England during the international break and after being named in Gareth Southgate’s line-up to face Denmark in the Nations League during the week, it took just half an hour for Maguire to be shown a red card.

However, new-signing Donny van de Beek misses out, yet again as he finds himself resigned to the bench.

In light of van de Beek’s exclusion tonight, fans have taken to social media to give their thoughts with one fan deeming Solskjaer’s selection decision as ‘unacceptable’.
