(Video) Dean Henderson’s first save as senior Man United goalkeeper brilliantly stops Luton Town equaliser

Dean Henderson’s first save as a Manchester United was quite the save at a significant time.

The Red Devils are now beating Luton Town 2-0 in their League Cup third round tie, but Henderson was forced to make a big save with just under 10-minutes left on the clock when the scoreline was 1-0.

Hendo has returned from a loan stint at Sheffield United with an objective to push David de Gea out of United’s line-up. Tonight he took his chance with a big save.

Luton Town had a free-kick on the right flank and a header forced Henderson to dive to his near post.

United’s defenders were awake enough to clear the danger off the line.

  1. I am so happy for Dean. Well deserved after giving Sheffield U some premiership ‘stay-up’ creds. David needs some healthy competition to get himself performing as the Rolls Royce we know he is. We need to strengthen at the back to ensure some form of success (like the Shmichel/VDSar days). I guess that means Sergio will be leaving us. I hope we’ve not done him an injustice by sidelining him like that. He has been a great, hardworking and loyal servant putting in some sterling performances.
