(Video) Andros Townsend opens scoring for Crystal Palace as Luke Shaw naps at back post

Crystal Palace have opened the scoring at Old Trafford after some slopping defending from Manchester United.

The Eagles have started the game with real confidence and it comes as no surprise that they’ve opened the scoring early on.

Luke Shaw was caught napping at the back post as Andros Townsend put his shot past David de Gea. Victor Lindelof hardly coated himself in glory either.

It’s not the start we wanted but United now have an uphill climb to mount if they are to win the match today.

Palace have set the tone and have been more alert to every second ball.

United, on the other hand, have been sluggish and lethargic in their play.

Can the Reds bounce back?
