Manchester United’s Katie Zelem tests positive for coronavirus

Manchester United Women captain Katie Zelem has withdrawn from England duty after testing positive for COVID-19.

The news comes with an update that Zelem is now self-isolating, as per reputable journalist Rob Harris.

Firstly, we would like to wish Zelem all the best and a speedy recovery as it’s bound to be a difficult time being away from the pitch.

I always say your health is your wealth, and I’m sure United will make sure she’s aware of all the measures in place to keep her and her loved ones safe.

The measures she must abide to keep in line with the Government, Manchester United and FA protocols.

In the men’s team, Paul Pogba tested positive for coronavirus and missed out on international duty too (via Sky Sports). The Frenchman is back training now preparing for the new season.

This will come as a setback to the Lionesses because they will be without one of their best players and Manchester United captain.

Hopefully she starts to feel better again soon and doesn’t look any of the match fitness she’s been working tirelessly on.
