Manchester United’s Tahith Chong has continued his hugely impressive run of form in Germany after he doubled Werder Bremen’s lead to 2-0 in their DFB-Pokal cup tie against Carl Zeiss Jena tonight.
Chong, 20, joined Werder Bremen on loan earlier this summer in an attempt to continue his development before returning to Old Trafford and force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team.
The youngster has enjoyed a thoroughly impressive pre-season campaign and has carried his fine form into the competitive season after scoring a superb goal tonight.
After being introduced at the break, Chong showcased some blistering pace before carving his opponent’s defence wide open and despatching the ball calmly into the side of the net.
